It's about time.........

for an update! I know, I am as shocked as you are.....what have we been up to since Feb.?

Robert and his Mom.....he graduated summa cum laude-that's the top 1% of his class!
He's top 1% in all aspects of life if you ask me!

another little graduate......

Nathan has graduated preschool and will be moving on to kindergarten this fall!
He is very excited!

In law school news, after turning down a full ride scholarship to UNLV, a partial scholarship to USC, and being placed on the waitlist at several of our top choices for law school...we have decided to wait until next fall to start our law school adventure.
That means we are sticking around for another year here, and enjoying getting to spend so much time with Robert now that he has graduated. Robert will continue to study LSAT material and try to raise his already fantastic score of 168 even higher in hopes of getting into one of our top choices of schools and hopefully, receiving a great scholarship so we can avoid as much debt as possible for this growing little family.
We are so lucky to have him take such good care of us all!

After Christmas and January shenanigans.....

Earlier in January Robert had a presentation for school so I got the kids all dressed up and took them to see him and his presentation.

All dressed up, but I never got a good pic of Nathan....

and I never did an after Christmas post....we videotaped most of it so I don't have many pics, but here are the kids enjoying their Christmas. We got both Star Wars Trilogy sets, Nathan was thrilled!!

I looked high and low for a pretend make up set and hard a really hard time finding one that didn't have actual make up in it......Thank goodness I finally found a purse that was full of plastic make up play things....hopefully, this will keep her out of mine!
She LOVED it and immediately wanted it opened up to play with!

Nathan working on building a truck he got....with tools he is allowed to touch! There is a light saber and a transformer also in the picture with him, the highlights of his Christmas, and the cheapest toys he got, go figure!

Laila insisted on having a tea party with Daddy with her tea set she got for Christmas....and he obliged, isn't he sweet?!?!

Later in the month I went with some girlfriends and got my eyebrows threaded.
New eyebrows! Cool, huh?

and here is what else happened in Jan......Robert bashed his head on a beam at work and had to get stitches...
It is healing nicely, but I really wish he would not make it a habit to ring in the New Year with a head injury!

seriously, do not leave this girl unattended for any length of time....I woke up one morning and found her sitting on the couch next to my purse with a entire packet of gum in her mouth!

aren't these kids so cute? Notice, still an antic going on with Laila...she probably stole that chapstick out of my purse and was sucking on it. But, she's happy about it!!

I got to have lots of girl's night fun in November...

starting with going out.....

to the SYTYCD tour. So fun!

and going to the midnight showing of New Moon with some die hards!
What could be better?
Going again for my friend's birthday bash later that month!

We had some family fun in Oceanside, CA....turns out you should bring swimsuits to the beach even in November.
Nathan found a perfect sand dollar all by himself!

got to visit the San Diego Zoo....and I taught my kids that the best things in life don't have to cost more than a quarter...

I present to you, my friends, the Footsie Wootsie....Don't ever pass up one of these bad boys! They are possibly my favorite San Diego Zoo attraction.

we celebrated Robert's 30th birthday on Saturday! and I teased him all day with terms like 'old' and 'crotchety'....He is a good sport! I told him he is lucky because men get better looking with age and then scared him when I told him 'it's all downhill from here, for me!'

and I have been having lots of fun getting the kids all dressed up and festive for church...

I love seeing all the cuties dressed up in their holiday best. I seriously wanted to do a walk-off in nursery so all the little girls could parade around in their dresses....So cute!

Like I said, we have been having so much fun....I'll think we'll have some more!
