this was one eventful hike, moments after I took this picture, closer to the waterfall-where the rocks are wet, Nathan let go of Robert's hand and took two steps away from him. He slipped wildly out of control and was a handful of shirt away from falling over the edge where he most assuredly would have cracked open his head or broke an arm or leg. Thank goodness for Robert's lightening fast reflexes!

I love this because we have a picture of Nathan that is exactly the same! Everett's first tree experience.....Nathan had a much cooler experience, though because he was at Bryce Canyon.

This was from Nathan's first day. He is having a really fun time getting to go school and ride the bus home. He wants to have a playdate everyday and gets really grumpy when that doesn't happen.

We are busy, busy, busy....but try to have fun, fun, fun!

Laila: Nathan, come get your opi-done! (like cone, not dun)
Nathan: Laila, it's not opi-done, it's oat-meeeeeaaalllllll.
Laila: (matter of factly) No, Nathan, it doesn't have a 'T' in it. Opi- doooooone. It just has an 'n'.

I love that she still calls it opi-done!

He was 21" long and weighed in at 9 lbs. 9 oz.

Meet Everett Luke....

We should have taken a picture of getting the car seat in the car....we looked like first time parents, a passerby even offered to find some hospital staff to come and help us! haha! The problem was more that we are third time parents....we didn't have the car seat installed in the car before we came to the hospital. We just ripped the tags off in the hospital room and stuck him in it right before we left the hospital.

He is the least spitty out of my kids- he has had the most hair, I think- no allergies to report- and thank the heavens above, the most mild mannered.....
I have my hands full with the other ones, so let's hope this little guy stays tame! Fingers crossed!

Cherry Babies......again!

About a month ago these babies decided to get together to celebrate another year of cuteness!

and they don't look like babies anymore......gone are the matching cherry dresses, gone is the awkward mullet stage of toddler hair, gone are the chubby little cheeks and thunder thighs....well, mostly anyway...(wink!)

In it's place is.....

sugar and spice...

and everything nice....

and princesses and pigtails, (and sometimes fierce independence!).....cause that's what these little girls are made of.

Robert and his Mom.....he graduated summa cum laude-that's the top 1% of his class!
He's top 1% in all aspects of life if you ask me!

Nathan has graduated preschool and will be moving on to kindergarten this fall!
He is very excited!

In law school news, after turning down a full ride scholarship to UNLV, a partial scholarship to USC, and being placed on the waitlist at several of our top choices for law school...we have decided to wait until next fall to start our law school adventure.
That means we are sticking around for another year here, and enjoying getting to spend so much time with Robert now that he has graduated. Robert will continue to study LSAT material and try to raise his already fantastic score of 168 even higher in hopes of getting into one of our top choices of schools and hopefully, receiving a great scholarship so we can avoid as much debt as possible for this growing little family.
We are so lucky to have him take such good care of us all!
